Half-Day Knife Making Crash Course

Have you ever wanted to forge your own knife? This hands-on, beginner-friendly crash course is the perfect introduction to the art of bladesmithing.
Over the course of five intensive hours, students will learn the fundamental skills of knife making while forging a simple all-steel knife from start to finish. Working at the forge, you'll gain firsthand experience with heating, hammering, shaping, grinding, and finishing steel under the guidance of an experienced instructor.
This class focuses on the essential techniques and principles of bladesmithing, making it ideal for complete beginners with no prior experience. By the end of the day, you'll leave with a finished forged knife and a solid understanding of the knife-making process.

One-Day Hidden Tang Knife Making Workshop
Duration: 8 Hours
Cost: $500 per student
In this intensive 8-hour hands-on class, students will learn the fundamentals of traditional knife making while forging and completing their own hidden tang knife. Beginning with high-carbon steel, participants will be guided through the essential steps of forging, shaping, grinding, heat treating, and finishing a functional knife.
Students will also learn how to fit and install a brass bolster and shape a hardwood handle, creating a finished knife that is both practical and visually appealing. Throughout the day, instructors will discuss tool selection, shop safety, steel behavior, blade geometry, and the basic principles that form the foundation of knife making.
By the end of the class, each student will leave with a completed hidden tang knife and a solid understanding of the knife-making process from raw steel to finished blade.
